Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering
The department brings artificial intelligence, data engineering, computer science, mathematics, and engineering practice together within a four-year undergraduate program.
The program is designed to provide strong foundations in computing and mathematics, followed by structured education in data science, machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, optimization, and the responsible development of intelligent systems.
Graduate education is carried out jointly with the Department of Computer Engineering through Hacettepe University's established MSc and PhD programs.

Curriculum transition guide published for students subject to the former Artificial Intelligence Engineering curriculum
Students continuing under the former curriculum remain subject to their original graduation requirements. The new guide explains course equivalencies, technical electives, prerequisites, ECTS differences, and registration procedures from Fall 2026–2027.
TÜBİTAK 1001 funding for real-time mobile protection against voice phishing
Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Selman Bozkır, the project will develop a Turkish voice-phishing dataset, an on-device detection method, and a free Android application capable of assessing risk while a call is still in progress.
